About SEAR Lab
The Sustainable and Efficient Allocation of Resources (SEAR) Lab, led by Dr. Erick C. Jones Jr., combines analytics and rapid prototyping to develop (or improve) technological systems and accompanying decision-making tools, so organizations can allocate their limited resources to maximize desired outcomes sustainably, efficiently, and resiliently.
The lab focuses on three major areas: 1) Energy Systems and Technology; 2) Buildings, Transportation, and Infrastructure; 3) Critical Supply Chains; with ancillary work in Operations Management, Logistics, RFID, and Health.

Advances in Energy and Information Technology will create a socioeconomic revolution that substantially increases the abundance of resources, access to essential services, and opportunities sustainably, efficiently, and resiliently; dramatically improving quality of life and providing a blueprint for utopia here and among the stars.

Build the Future of Energy, Infrastructure and Supply Chains Systems via the AI-enhanced Combination of Analytics and Rapid Prototyping.
Methods
Analytical methods: Mathematical Optimization, Simulation, AI / ML, and Specialized Analytics (GIS, LCA, TEA).
Rapid Prototyping and Piloting informed by Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Experiments guided by Systems Engineering principles conducted with interdisciplinary teams.
