Efficient and equitable public transportation is fundamental to the functioning of urban areas, significantly impacting residents’ access to essential services and opportunities. This research project focuses on analyzing bus and rail public transportation in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, delving into the accessibility and disparities within specific census tracts. The term “good” transportation is multifaceted, encompassing factors such as reliability, affordability, and proximity. In this study, we utilize data from the Justice 40 Initiative to evaluate transportation accessibility against Justice 40 clean transit goals and the percentage of individuals below the poverty line.
