This project addresses the critical need for county-level investment and analysis in the United States, leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools like ArcGIS to map demographic composition, resource availability, and community amenities. Drawing insights from the Centre for Cities report on urban amenities in the UK, the study highlights disparities in amenity provision and their impact on urban quality of life, influenced by economic factors, population density, and the COVID-19 pandemic. By integrating data on population density, solar potential, and key amenities such as libraries, hospitals, and parks, the project aims to identify areas requiring investment, ensuring equitable access and fostering holistic community development.
