Microgrids and Second-Life Batteries

Small, self-contained power systems and the batteries that make them work, including batteries given a second life after an electric vehicle. Students design, model and test microgrids and energy-storage systems, from a bench-scale solar microgrid to systems engineering for larger platforms.

These are the projects and publications we have done in this area. Each project links to its full page on erickjonesphd.com, and each publication links to the paper.
